Susan Benedict PLLC is pleased to announce that H. Steven Vogel has joined the firm’s Ft. Lauderdale office as a Member.
Mr. Vogel brings 20 years of experience and a track record of success to his practice focused on accountants and accounting firms. He has extensive experience defending accountants, as well as lawyers, real estate agents, and other professionals facing claims of professional malpractice in actions in the State of Florida and Federal Courts. He protects the reputations and livelihoods of licensed professionals and has defeated complex claims involving alleged negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, financial statement audit failures, conflicts of interests and other areas. In addition, he represents licensed professionals before State Licensing Boards and other Governmental agencies including the Florida Bar, the SEC and the Department of Justice.
Mr. Vogel is past Chair and former member of the Florida Board of Accountancy. He is also a former member of the American Institute of CPA’s Auditing Standards Board. He has served as a member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee “11C” in Miami-Dade County and the National State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) Board Effectiveness and Legislative Affairs Committee. He is an AV-Rated Preeminent lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Vogel received his B.A. from Pace University, his J.D. from Capital University School of Law, and his LL.M. in Taxation from University of Miami School of Law.
