Susan Benedict PLLC is pleased to announce that Trent P. Cornell has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a Member.
Trent focuses his practice on complex business and environmental litigation and counseling. His extensive litigation experience includes prosecuting claims and defending clients in single-party, class, derivative or collective actions involving breach of contract, environmental actions, trade secret, breach of fiduciary duty, product liability/tort and other claims. Trent has garnered praise from clients, judges, and even opposing attorneys for his ability to break down complex issues for judges and juries and for winning cases at trial or through settlement, including many that were considered lost when he took them over from other law firms.
For over a decade, Trent has been recognized as a leader in his field by Illinois Super Lawyers for Business Litigation. He was also named Restructuring Litigator of the Year in Illinois by Corporate INTL Magazine in 2014 and 2015. Trent received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
